

I’d love to see the development of a Canada/EU counterpart to major financial services like Visa, Mastercard, and PayPal. A system like that could strengthen our position globally, especially in light of the shifting dynamics we’re seeing with the emerging Russo-American alliances.
It would also help make financing more accessible for Canadian entrepreneurs, especially those trying to get a startup off the ground with limited resources.
With the current political and trade climate, Amazon may eventually lose some of its market share in Canada. That opens the door for homegrown alternatives to step in. My wife and I co-founded NorthernCart.ca as one such initiative. Something designed to give Canadians a more local, community-driven option. It’s still early days, but it’s an idea we’re passionate about and continue to grow.
