A farewell
I grant you time, but not a day more,
To reclaim the land you once stood for.
For every hour you sit and wait,
A thief in the night reshapes your fate.
You fight and fume at shadows cast,
While hands unseen are binding fast.
Your house is stripped, brick by brick,
And still, you claim it’s standing thick.
The patient watch, the silent yearn,
For winds to shift, for tides to turn.
But should the stars refuse to shine,
I’ll walk away and sever the line.
Not out of malice, not in spite,
But for the love of what is right.
So stand, or fall, it’s yours to choose,
But wait too long, and all will lose.
